Love everything about this.

First of all, it sounds so good. I absolutely love that 5-octave piano. It seems like he even tuned it himself. I want it!

I'm not familiar with this artist, but he definitely brought out the magic in this song.

The icing on the cake is this generous tutorial... seems like this song wouldn't be all that challenging even for a beginner. The magic is in the musicality.

And what is that beautiful sounding piano anyway? Is this what they call a spinet? I had to count multiple times... but there's literally only 64 keys on this beast.

In the UK old episodes of Cheers are televised early in the morning just as we are waking and I often think about learning the music. Now I have a much better idea about how to go about it. Thanks for sharing.

It does look like a spinet piano with a drop action and as navindra says sounds remarkably good for its size.

PS I believe the programme is set in Boston, home to Harvard (?) where piano group friend of mine once taught physics.

Pallas Looking at a map of Boston I see lots of names that I recognise; Wakefield, the city near to my parents' place and Lancaster very close to where we live now.

I wasn't brave enough to apply for a place at Cambridge University and things certainly worked better for me to study elsewhere. I did undertake another degree at a laboratory near Oxford and grew to love the city of Oxford. We were there one week ago and walked past the Oxford University Press on Walton Street which is where Dr. Molly's book was published.
