Well, but there are those high-up windows, right? Unless I'm looking at the wrong thing? Anyway, I think that's why the house seems like inside, but you're right, regular window would be preferable.
But I think that's pretty common in houses the mid 1960s and 70s, those windows that are very high up on the wall, and rather narrow. I don't like it myself. For one thing, I want to be able to look outside -- without having to get up on a ladder!
