I didn't realise that. I think at the 5' 5" size, you reach the point where you'd struggle to find any upright that sounds as good. Mine is about 5 years older than yours though. It's in good condition, a few marks here and there, but I'm absolutely chuffed with it. Especially as I didn't even know it was in the showroom, as it had only come into the dealer a week or so ago, and hadn't even been advertised yet.
There was a very nice 2nd hand Yamaha C1 I'd have bought if the Kawai hadn't been there, but it was another Β£3000 and that's a nice holiday! My Piano teacher's husband (an ex concert Pianist) was with me as my guide and mentor. And although he preferred the C1 (as I did), there wasn't enough difference for me to spend an extra Β£3000. He liked the Kawai, which mattered a lot to me.
